# Sunlight Labs Congress Connector

## Intro

Sunlight Labs Congress is a public resource website for understanding and tracking the U.S. Congress. Use Domo's Sunlight Labs Congress connector to retrieve data about activity in the U.S. Congress, such as legislation, hearings, roll call votes, and more. You connect to your Sunlight Labs Congress account in the Data Center. This topic discusses the fields and menus that are specific to the Sunlight Labs Congress connector user interface. ## Prerequisites

To connect to your Sunlight Labs Congress account and create a DataSet, you must have a Sunlight Congress API key.

Currently Sunlight Congress's API registration page is down. We are working to figure out how to get around this situation.

## Connecting to Your Sunlight Labs Congress Account

This section enumerates the options in the **Credentials** and **Details** panes in the Sunlight Labs Congress Connector page. The components of the other panes in this page, **Scheduling** and **Name & Describe Your DataSet**, are universal across most connector types and are discussed in greater length in [Adding a DataSet Using a Data Connector](/s/article/360042926274 "Adding a DataSet Using a Data Connector").

### Credentials Pane

This pane contains fields for entering credentials to connect to your Sunlight Labs Congress account. The following table describes what is needed for each field:

Once you have entered valid Sunlight Labs Congress credentials, you can use the same account any time you go to create a new Sunlight Labs Congress DataSet. You can manage connector accounts in the **Accounts** tab in the Data Center. ### Details Pane

This pane contains a single menu from which you select a report.
