# Explore Data with Table Elements in App Studio

### Intro

Domo has many powerful tools for data analysis and visualization, like DataSet Views and Analyzer. App Studio brings more of these tools together in one place.

When you add a table to your App Studio app, you can explore your data in a spreadsheet-like interface with functionality formatting, aggregating, grouping, resizing columns, and adding a new calculation.

In App Studio View mode, you and your app users can interact with tables the way you do on dashboards. Learn how to [interact with tables](/s/article/360043429573#interact_with_table_charts).

<Warning>
  **Important:** This functionality is also available for existing tables in App Studio. Select a table element to open the configuration panel and select **Edit in Place**.

   </Frame>
2. Choose the DataSet you want to explore.

   It displays as a Table Card on the app page.

<Frame>
  <img alt="choose data.jpg" src="https://mintcdn.com/domoinc-openapi-sync-dataflows/t-REVUfgwLiw_Ine/images/kb/ka0Vq0000008gy9-00N5w00000Ri7BU-0EMVq000003w9cH.jpg?fit=max&auto=format&n=t-REVUfgwLiw_Ine&q=85&s=dfaa83afb152abc77dca08477aa1a7a2" style={{width: 550, height: 431}} width="807" height="632" data-path="images/kb/ka0Vq0000008gy9-00N5w00000Ri7BU-0EMVq000003w9cH.jpg" />
</Frame>

3. Select the card to open the right configuration panel. Select **Edit in Place** to open the edit mode.

   <Frame>
     <img alt="edit in place.jpg" src="https://mintcdn.com/domoinc-openapi-sync-dataflows/t-REVUfgwLiw_Ine/images/kb/ka0Vq0000008gy9-00N5w00000Ri7BU-0EMVq000003w9KX.jpg?fit=max&auto=format&n=t-REVUfgwLiw_Ine&q=85&s=d455f5692851397ba4a0a4b7fa9f4ac1" style={{width: 900, height: 375}} width="1157" height="482" data-path="images/kb/ka0Vq0000008gy9-00N5w00000Ri7BU-0EMVq000003w9KX.jpg" />
   </Frame>

   You can now directly edit the table inside App Studio.
