# PPO Domo Connector

## Intro

Project Portfolio Office (PPO) is an online project portfolio management and collaboration application. Use Domo's PPO connector to connect your PPO data and adopt a simple to use, cost effective, configurable yet enterprise scalable project portfolio management application to plan, manage, collaborate, execute, and report on their projects, programmes and portfolios. To learn more about the PPO API, visit [PPO Web Services API](https://support.ppolive.com/hc/en-us/articles/209874783-Web-Services-API).

This topic discusses the fields and menus that are specific to the PPO connector user interface. General information for adding DataSets, setting update schedules, and editing DataSet information is discussed in [Adding a DataSet Using a Data Connector](/s/article/360042926274).

## Prerequisites

To connect to your PPO account and create a DataSet, you must have the following:

* Your PPO user name
* Your PPO Password
* Instance ID referencing to your PPO account

## Connecting to Your PPO Account

This section enumerates the options in the **Credentials** and **Details** panes in the PPO Connector page. The components of the other panes in this page, **Scheduling** and **Name & Describe Your DataSet**, are universal across most connector types and are discussed in greater length in [Adding a DataSet Using a Data Connector](/s/article/360042926274 "Adding a DataSet Using a Data Connector").

### Credentials Pane

This pane contains three fields for entering credentials to connect to your PPO account. The following table describes what is needed for each field:

<table border="1" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="1" data-aura-rendered-by="33:201;a"><thead><tr><th colspan="1" rowspan="1"><p><span class="s1"> Field </span></p></th><th colspan="1" rowspan="1"><p><span class="s1"> Description </span></p></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td colspan="1" rowspan="1"> Username </td><td colspan="1" rowspan="1"> Enter your user name which is the same username for logging into the API services. </td></tr><tr><td colspan="1" rowspan="1"> Password </td><td colspan="1" rowspan="1"> Enter your password which is the same username for logging into the API services.. </td></tr><tr><td colspan="1" rowspan="1"> Instance ID </td><td colspan="1" rowspan="1"> Enter the ID referencing to your PPO account. </td></tr></tbody></table>

Once you have entered valid PPO credentials, you can use the same account any time you go to create a new PPO DataSet. You can manage connector accounts in the **Accounts** tab in the Data Center. For more information about this tab, see [Managing User Accounts for Connectors](/s/article/360042926054 "Managing User Accounts for Connectors").

### Details Pane

This pane contains three fields, **Entity Type**, **Display Value**, and **Caption Value**.

<table border="1" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="1" data-aura-rendered-by="33:201;a"><thead><tr><th colspan="1" rowspan="1"><p> Menu </p></th><th colspan="1" rowspan="1"><p> Description </p></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td colspan="1" rowspan="1"><p> Entity Type </p></td><td colspan="1" rowspan="1"><p> Enter the entity type. This is a numeric value that represents an entity type in PPO. </p></td></tr><tr><td colspan="1" rowspan="1"> Use Display Value </td><td colspan="1" rowspan="1"> Select this checkbox to display field value in the column contents instead of the standard field value. </td></tr><tr><td colspan="1" rowspan="1"> Use Caption Value </td><td colspan="1" rowspan="1"> Select this checkbox to use caption value (if available) as column IDs. </td></tr></tbody></table>

### Other Panes

For information about the remaining sections of the connector interface, including how to configure scheduling, retry, and update options, see [Adding a DataSet Using a Data Connector](/s/article/360042926274).
